Xiaomi could be a company that’s not afraid to experiment with new technology for its products. We’ve got seen the corporate come up with some unusual yet high-tech products just like the Mi smart curtains or the EDON foldable fan. As per a recent report, the corporate is functioning on a smartphone that will store and (probably) charge wireless earbuds inside it.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Xiaomi patents a full-screen smartphone with an under-screen camera and a compartment to store your wireless earbuds.
  • Let’s take a look at the renders.

How Xiaomi patents Will Work?

In step with the patents, the smartphone will include two long pipe-like slots on the highest within which the earbuds will slide into. To eradicate any inconvenience, the patents state that the earbuds will include a movable “head” which will point upwards when stored inside the phone and become angular to simply fit the ears of a user. There aren’t any pictures to point out how the planning will seem like.
These earbuds also will be designed to figure mutually of the first speakers of the device.

Dutch publication LetsGoDigital, drawing inspiration from two patents filed in China. Therefore the Netherlands has crafted renders of the device to imagine just how curious a design it’d be. A GIF below for a more robust idea of the planning.

The Hurdle of the Xiaomi patents

Personally speaking, I kinda dig the planning and love the very fact that there’ll be no need for an external charging case for the buds. However, to attain this, there some major barriers that Xiaomi needs to consider. They need to give some thought to the thickness of the earbuds because it will directly affect the thickness of the smartphone.

Secondly, there’s the factor of hygiene. Especially in these times of the pandemic, the Chinese company has to think about the way to stay the buds clean. As we keep smartphones in our lint-filled pockets most of the time. So, if the dust and other small particles get inside the slot so into the earbuds. The following time users put the buds in their ears, the dust will enter the users’ ears from the buds. Apart from these,

Apart from these, there are several other issues that may become major problems for this design. For example, with this design, there’ll no chance of adding water-resistance to the smartphone. Making it a rather weak device compared to other smartphones within the market.
