One of the film’s writer has confirmed that Deadpool 3 is in the works and just waiting for the permission by Marvel. Read the whole article –
Following the success of the previous two films Deadpool 1 and Deadpool 2, the sassy and mushy Superhero has been planned to come up with a trilogy.
And while most fans have been expecting that there will be a third installment of the hit Marvel franchise, the Fox/Disney merger cast doubted over its future.
But now the film’s Co-Writer Paul Wernick said that while a lot remains to be sorted, he and Rhett Reese are just waiting for Marvel to give them the answer for when.
“There’s a lot to be sorted out, like how Deadpool fits into the Marvel Universe with the other characters of the MCU.
“Then it’s, do the X-Men get in there at some point? There’s a lot to be sorted out and I think we’re all getting a much needed rest from Deadpool – Ryan and us and everybody.
But this is not the only piece of good news to land over the past couple of days. While some fans have been concerned about whether there would be another movie, others have also been unsure as to whether the merger would see their favorite character watered down.
Well, Writer Paul has assured us that Marvel – which is owned by Disney – has promised to allow his team to continue making R-rated movies. The US R-rating is also known as ‘restricted’, and means that viewers aged under 17 will require an accompanying parent or adult guardian in cinemas.
Speaking further he said that “We’re always in touch with Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool”.
“I think the party line and truth is we’re all still figuring it out. Marvel has promised to continue to let us play in the R-rated Deadpool universe, and the hope is that they will also let us veer into the MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe] a little bit as well and play in that sandbox.
“Our feeling and Ryan’s feeling is that it’s got to be the right idea, it will have to be great.”
He continued and said that “I think once we collectively agree what idea that great idea is, we’ll be off to the races. Ryan is super-busy, we’ve got a lot of projects lined up, but we wake up thinking about Deadpool, and we go to sleep thinking about Deadpool.”
Whatever, all I can say is “we really can’t hold our breathe after this amazing news”.
