Sony on Thursday revealed its new beast Playstation 5 along with the lineup of games coming to the next generation. The announcement was made during an hour long digital only event watched by millions of people globally online.
This includes a white and a black design to match the new controller that will be included in the box. The Japanese tech giant showed two models of the Playstation 5, a regular one with a 4k- Blu- Ray drive and the other one which will be a complete Digital Edition and it will not contain any Disk Drive. The Playstation 5 can be placed horizontally and vertically unlike the Nintendo switch which is a hybrid console. It will come with the next generation dual sense controller.
The removal of that disk drive means the Digital one will be cheaper too but Sony has not mentioned anything regarding the price. The company has not even shared a release date for the Playstation 5.
Sony like its competitor “Microsoft” has been creating hype ahead of its launch that will happen on later 2020. Sony has also created a number of accessories for its Playstation 5, including a dual sense charging system, a new HD camera, a pulse 3D wireless headset and a media remote.
The console will be powered with an eighth generation AMD Zen 2 CPU and a custom based AMD RDNA 2 – based GPU, the AMD chips will generate 10.28 teraflops of power using variable frequencies on both the CPU and GPU.
