The football club Real Madrid on Tuesday announced the signing of Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager. Ancelotti was the head coach of the premiere league football club Everton. He replaced Zinedine Zidane who quit after Real Madrid failed to defend the league title last season.

Carlo Ancelotti returns to Real Madrid for a second stint. He was the club’s manager between 2013 to 2015 and led the giants to champions league title in that year.

Ancelotti had joined Everton on a 4 and a half year contract in 2019. He leaves the role at Everton with 3 years left in his contract.

I would like to thank the board of directors, the players and the evertonians for the tremendous support that they have shown me over the years. I have complete respect for everyone associated at Everton and i wish and hope that they achieve the exciting opportunities that they have in front of them.

Zidane said that the lack of faith shown in him by the club had led him to his departure last week despite guiding the team to two la liga titles and 2 champions league trophies during his time as a manager.

I wasn’t asking for privileges, of course not, just a little more recollection. It hurt me so much when i read in the press that i would be sacked if i didn’t win the next game.

It hurt me so much because the team deliberately leaked messages to the media, negatively influenced the squad, they created doubts and misunderstandings, ” Zidane said last week.
